Our interdisciplinary research group is committed to pushing the boundaries of systems engineering, artificial intelligence, and data science. We develop innovative computational models, optimization algorithms, statistical machine learning techniques, and multi-scale systems analytics tools. These methodologies are applied across a variety of domains, mainly focusing on full lifespan sustainable usage of lithium-ion batteries, including smart manufacturing, intelligent management & control, Prognostics and health management, robotics-based disassembly, recycling & Echelon use. At the Digital Intelligent Battery (DIB) lab, we emphasize the seamless integration of theoretical frameworks, computational methods, and real-world applications.
